m/s „Serenissima (ex m/s „Andrea“)
Single-screw, seven decked passenger vessel built 1960 at Trondhjems Mek.Verksted shipyard in Norway as a Newbuilding No.244 and reconstructed in 2003.
To enable ship to continue sailing after 2010 a refurbishment was undertaken in order to provide full compliance with all SOLAS amendments which becomes mandatory for existing ships in October 2010.
Yacht Design contracted all supporting documentation necessary for class transfer from BV to CRS, primarily all safety related drawing subjected to compliance with SOLAS, including supervision and final reports, as well as:
- Installation of fin stabilizers
- Exchange of old life boats with new ones
- Upgrading of passengers’ and crew cabins/ facilities
- Various interventions in steel structure, related to fire category of partitions
- Addition of aluminum deckhouse
- Outfitting for polar expeditions etc…
